1. Sea sponges inhibit bacteria, mold and mildew. Sea sponges have natural

enzymes that inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew.

2. Sponges are processed by being soaked in a special solution to remove

sediments that have been absorbed when in the sea. All sponges are measured

when wet at time of processing. As sponges dry, they contract in size, but once

they are wet, they will expand again. The sizes are approximate.

3. A properly cared for natural sea sponge will last for a long time.

Synthetic sponges quickly begin to fail, harbor bacteria and mildew in less than a week.

4. Natural sea sponges fit into a green and organic lifestyle. Sea sponges

re-grow after harvesting and return to their original size. When divers harvest

a sponge they only remove the upper part of the sponge. The remaining

sponge will then be able to re-grow and be harvested again in a few years.

5. Harvesting of our natural sea sponges is regulated by Florida's Fish and Wildlife

Conservation Commission. All of our sponges are harvested by hand by divers

licensed by the Commission.

6. ALTHOUGH NATURAL SEA SPONGES ARE SCIENTIFICALLY CLASSIFIED AS

ANIMALS, THEY ARE NOT KOSHER, NOT EDIBLE, AND NOT FOR

INTERNAL USE.
